Contexto
Eruption imagines light as a geological phenomenon.
The luminous sphere emerges from a textile base
constructed from padded wire and cotton gauze,
whose shape seems to expand and spill across the
surface like a material in the process of overflowing.
The folds and contours of the fabric evoke lava flows or
mineral currents that move slowly, creating a soft
topography around the point of light. In this piece, the
lamp becomes a small landscape in transformation: a
luminous core from which energy seems to spring
forth, expanding, cooling and settling in the domestic
space.
