Container and contents

Proposes a silent transformation of an everyday object into an organic sculptural body. The traditional vessel partially disappears beneath a surface constructed using a technique involving padded wire and cotton gauze, which envelops and overflows the original form as if growing from it. The spirals, knots and folds refer both to biological processes and repetitive manual gestures, placing the work between the domestic and the ritual. In this piece, “alchemy” is not a metaphor for material transmutation but for time and care: the accumulation of gestures transforms the vessel into a soft, almost living presence, where container and content seem to merge.
