Compendium of two artistic textile pieces created for the Kave Home collection: ‘Autumn Equinox’ and ‘Winter Solstice’.
Autumn Equinox
The Earth rotates without stopping, travelling an invisible orbit. The seasons advance in silence, gradually transforming the world. In this eternal pendulum that swings between ascent and descent, the equinox symbolises the midpoint.
This installation, created by Kave Home in collaboration with Regina Dejiménez, reflects the synchronicity of this phenomenon, which marks the moment when day and night last the same length. The artist uses cotton gauze as a language to weave an interdisciplinary dialogue, in which her work interacts with Kave Home designs.
Winter solstice
In the infinite solar cycle we inhabit, the winter solstice marks the moment of the year when night reaches its peak. This installation, created by Kave Home in collaboration with Regina Dejiménez, captures the calm of the moment when absolute darkness triumphs, while announcing the imminent return of light.
The space explores the delicate but essential balance between these two antagonistic concepts. The artist uses cotton gauze as a language to weave an interdisciplinary dialogue, in which her work interacts with Kave Home designs.
