“The idea that reality must be understood as a process is an ancient one, going back to Heraclitus, who said that everything flows… The best image of a process is perhaps that of a flowing stream, whose substance is never the same.

A stream that presents ever-changing patterns of eddies, ripples, waves, splashes, etc…which have no independent existence as such. Rather they are abstractions of the flowing process that arise and vanish in the total process of the flow.”

Through this textile installation, by superimposing and interweaving natural fibers, fabrics and wool from Mallorca, the artist dresses the welcoming wall. The installation transforms the space through its neutral tones, its textures, layers and warm shades of light, leading towards the infinite. An unknown infinity, the cosmos… only palpable from the inner perception.

Dejiménez focuses her research on the expressive possibilities of textiles, exploring, in turn, the boundaries between art, craft and design. She perceives textile structures as layers of construction that give form to reality: “Textile is surface and language; it is tool and vehicle of transformation; it is a sensitive matter to speak of the subtle”.
